As explained in my course, I use picots, which are made in France. It is a brass rod with sharp, pin-like points set into the rod. The rod is screwed onto the screen through holes already in the rods. But most people cannot access picots, so they have to pin the silk to their wooden frame.
The stenter pins will enable you to carefully pin onto rolled edges for your silk scarves. They have a stretching band attached to allow you to pull the pins when stretching the silk. You will need these when you purchase a wooden frame. A three point pin has three points instead of one. This allows the pin to hold the silk with less chance of popping out when the silk is stretched (not suitable for use with rolled edges as they leave a hole in the silk).
