Animal Life

These are five small paintings that were designed as a set. Each image portrays kangaroos in different groups and set within a rainforest amongst a myriad of trees, leaves and flowers. All measure approximately 220mm x 195mm.

These tiny possums are featured within a Flowering Gum.

The magnificent bushy tails of these possums form a wonderful balance and
provides stability as they move amongst the tree tops.

Aussie Triptych_1200Triptych  “The Aussie Campfire”

This triptych has been framed under glass with a double mount. The middle panel shows the platypus, wombat, koala and kangaroo. The other two panels are made up of a pattern of shapes, colour and texture to indicate the bush surrounds.

These three framed paintings tell a story when viewed from left to right. They are the original designs for a very large triptych painted for a business centre.

A family of kangaroos are found in the rainforest which displays rich and exciting colours and decorative foliage in the panels below and above the roos. This is framed under glass.

The narrow format can be part of a triptych or viewed individually. The birds are embedded in a mass of flowers with the sea showing in the background.

Another section of the triptych showing a number of kangaroos living in the rainforest .

Koala’s amongst the gum tree foliage frame the sea with birds and sea life appearing in the third section of the triptych.

This oil painting is done on hardboard. I was intrigued with the way the inside of the house seemed to merge with the outside courtyard. In my mind (and my painting) they became one.  I just loved the way the cat never took its eyes off me.

Triptych Koalas at RestTryptich “Koalas at Rest”
Koalas quietly feeding, sleeping and just resting amongst some beautiful Australian flowers, including gum trees. The rich exotic colours of the flowers are framed by the calmness of the Pacific Ocean and some of its sea life, over the Barrier Reef in Queensland.
